Are people a wilderness in the beach
When sea promises to be tranquillity
As women bath in its peace at moon
& change clothes in makeshift room?
God we do not understand is woman
We worship by hibiscus in early dawn.
A sun softly turns hibiscus in the east
And sea is God – woman we worship
And sea now rolls a wilderness in sky
With turtles as mere mama carcasses
Lying agape in wilderness of plastics
& fish emerging from ship’s expeller.
